ISNIN, 14 SEPTEMBER 2026 : Majlis Sekalung Budi Majlis Daerah Hulu Terengganu telah diadakan di Dewan Terbuka Majlis Daerah Hulu Terengganu sebagai tanda penghargaan dan apresiasi kepada Setiausaha Majlis Daerah Hulu Terengganu, Encik Hamdan bin Mohd Nor, yang akan bertukar perkhidmatan ke Majlis Perbandaran Dungun.

FULL REHEARSAL FOR THE PARADE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 69TH TERENGGANU STATE-LEVEL NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION 2026
SATURDAY, 29 AUGUST 2026: The Hulu Terengganu District Council (MDHT) contingent participated in the Full Rehearsal for the Parade and Procession in Conjunction with the 69th Terengganu State-Level National Day Celebration 2026, held around Kuala Terengganu.
This rehearsal serves as the final preparation to ensure the smooth execution and perfection of the event, which will take place on 31 August 2026 (Monday).

CLOSING MEETING FOR THE AUDIT OF MDHT FINANCIAL STATEMENTS 2025
The Closing Meeting for the Audit of the Financial Statements of Hulu Terengganu District Council (MDHT) for the Financial Year Ended 31 December 2025 was held on 26 August 2026 at the Main Meeting Room, National Audit Department of Terengganu State.
The meeting was chaired by Encik Mohd Faidzal bin Abu, C.A (M), CPA (M), Director of Audit of Terengganu, and was also attended by the President of Hulu Terengganu District Council, Encik Nik Mohd Syahrom bin Nik Md Hashim, together with representatives from various departments and senior officers of the National Audit Department of Terengganu State.
The session aimed to present the audit observations and findings, as well as recommendations for improving MDHT's financial management towards enhancing accountability, transparency, and the effectiveness of governance.
MDHT extends its highest appreciation to the National Audit Department of Terengganu State for its cooperation and valuable insights provided.

WORKING VISIT TO WAT AKIYAKIRI, KAMPUNG PAUH LIMA, KOTA BHARU
MONDAY, 24 AUGUST 2026: A working visit led by YB Dato’ Wan Sukairi bin Wan Abdullah, Chairman of the Terengganu State Local Government, Housing, and Health Committee, alongside YB Ir. Haji Saiful Azmi bin Suhaili, Deputy Chairman of the Terengganu State Local Government, Housing, and Health Committee, was held at Wat Akiyakiri, Kg Pauh Lima, Kota Bharu.
The delegation was received by YB Wan Rohimi Wan Daud, State Assemblyman for ADUN Melor, together with the Chief Whip of MDKPI, Mr. Mohd Asri Yunus, as well as MDKPI officers. Also present during the visit were Mr. Hamdan bin Mohd Nor, Secretary of the Hulu Terengganu District Council, and Mrs. Asfazilah binti Samad, Deputy Director (Planning) of PLANMalaysia Terengganu State.
A wealth of information regarding the management and operation of a crematorium was gathered from the visit. Additionally, the delegation gained a clearer practical understanding of related aspects that can serve as a reference when evaluating plans for similar facilities in Hulu Terengganu.
Throughout the visit, an exchange of views and information took place, benefiting the involved parties—particularly in understanding the operational requirements of such facilities from a local authority perspective. Further explanations were provided by Mr. Koo Bon Chin, a representative from the Wakaf Tapai Tionghua Burial Association, Marang, regarding the proposed development to be undertaken in the Hulu Terengganu District. The insights and perspectives gathered from various parties will serve as a guide for the State and Local Authorities in processing received applications and making informed decisions.
It is hoped that this visit will spark new ideas and inputs for planning more structured, inclusive, livable, and community-friendly district developments, ultimately creating a more comfortable environment for the public.
