Kenyir Elephant Cultural Village
The Kenyir Elephant Cultural Village (KECV) also widely known as the Kenyir Elephant Conservation Village—is an eco-tourism sanctuary established in 2012 within the rainforest ecosystem surrounding Lake Kenyir. Spanning a massive 256 hectares, the park intentionally leaves up to 90% of its land completely untouched to protect the natural habitat of its resident elephants.
The park serves as a safe haven for rescued, orphaned, and tame local elephants. Visitors can interact closely with these gentle giants through activities such as feeding, bathing, and watching educational presentations. A major highlight of the sanctuary is its network of canopy hanging bridges, which allows guests to observe the elephants roaming through the trees from an elevated vantage point.
